Miracle League

http://www.themiracleleague.net/

The goal of a Miracle league field is to provide the opportunity for children with disabilities to play Miracle League baseball, regardless of their abilities.

The Miracle League provides every child the opportunity to experience the joy and benefits that come from playing our National pasttime - baseball!

The Miracle League field : Carroll Iowa

The Miracle League makes it possible for kids with mental and physical disabilities to play baseball, with a custom turf field that is easy for those with wheelchairs and walkers to navigate and a setup that invites “buddies” to help kids play.

More than 200 Miracle Leagues are set up throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada, including one in Des Moines and Sioux City, and a park that is currently being planned for Ames — and Carroll residents want to add to the number, as the only field in the mid western part of Iowa.

A committee for the park has created a proposal that involves building the all-inclusive playground and Miracle League ballfield together in Northeast Park in Carroll.  City council members have agreed to the proposal and fundraising is now underway!

Miracle League a huge success in Des Moines, Iowa
